About this event

Do you have what it takes to be on the Indiana University - Purdue University SC Student Cluster Competition team?

By being on the team, you will gain hands-on experience with the latest software for simulations, Big Data, and machine learning. You'll build a supercomputer cluster! You’ll also gain valuable experience to put on your resume.

As part of a joint IU–Purdue team, select team members will travel to the annual Supercomputing conference (SC22) in Dallas, Texas, in November, 2022 to compete against other teams from around the world. You’ll have 48 hours to prove that your cluster is the best.

Interested? If you're an undergraduate student, join us for this call-out meeting to learn more about the responsibilities of being a team member, meet other potential team members, and enjoy pizza, salad, dessert, and beverages with leadership from the Pervasive Technology Institute and Luddy School of Informatics and Computing. Use the REGISTRATION button to let us know you're coming!

About the Student Cluster Competition (SCC) at SC
The Student Cluster Competition (SCC) was developed in 2007 to provide an immersive high performance computing experience to undergraduate and high school students.

With sponsorship from hardware and software vendor partners, student teams design and build small clusters, learn scientific applications, apply optimization techniques for their chosen architectures, and compete in a non-stop, 48-hour challenge at the SC conference to complete real-world scientific workloads, showing off their HPC knowledge for conference attendees and judges.
