The IU REDCap platform offers easy-to-use, intuitive features to allow users to rapidly build and manage secure online surveys.

This workshop introduces IU faculty, staff, and students to the survey feature in REDCap. This hands-on course will cover the basics of survey design, invites, configuration, response management, and survey queues. Prior experience with and understanding of REDCap is required.

Objective:

By the end of this workshop, users will:

  • Build and configure an IU REDCap survey
  • Send invitations
  • Manage survey responses
  • Use the survey queue to chain together multiple surveys using optional logic
  • Build a secure online survey

Prerequisites:

  • An IU REDCap account (https://redcap.uits.iu.edu/)
  • Login information
  • Experience with and understanding of REDCap
  • Bring your own laptop if you'd like to run IU REDCap through it, or plan to use one of the workstations in the classroom.

The workshop is hosted by Research Technologies - a division of University Information Technology Services and a center in the Pervasive Technology Institute at Indiana University.

The Supercomputing for Everyone Series (S4ES) aims to bring more users into the realm of advanced computing, whether it be visualization, computation, analytics, storage, or any related discipline.
