About this event

Presented by Winona Snapp-Childs, PhD, Manager of the Collaboration and Engagement Support Group (CESG) of UITS Research Technologies. Prior to joining RT, she was a Postdoctoral scholar and Research Associate at IU in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. She has been writing academic papers and grants for more than 10 years and has tried numerous writing tools along the way.

In this seminar, Winona will give a demo of a couple of tools that will make it easier to manage writing projects (papers and grants). One tool is a reference manager (Mendeley), the other is a LaTeX editor (Overleaf). This seminar is appropriate for both novices and experts — novices will learn the basics, experts can share tips and tricks. To get the most out of this seminar, bring a laptop and sign up for accounts for Mendeley Overleaf before the seminar.
