Statistical and mathematical research software available on all central systems

SAS, Mathematica, and others offered at no cost in support of research and scholarship.

UITS offers statistical and mathematical software, like SAS and Mathematica, on all of its central systems, including IUanyWare, in the Student Technology Centers, and on our high-performance computing systems. While it was previously thought that Mathematica would begin incurring a cost this year, this is no longer the case.

All of our statistical and mathematical software titles remain available at no cost on central systems, and we continue to sell licenses at a discount for installation on laptops and workstations. Supporting the research and scholarly activities at IU in a consistent, familiar way during these difficult times is very important to us and central to our mission.

Faculty and staff: Be prepared for migration to Exchange Online

Exchange Online integrates with Microsoft Teams and improves email security.

Faculty and staff email accounts are moving to Exchange Online. The Exchange Online environment provides better integration with Microsoft Teams and other Office 365 apps and improves IU’s email security. You can opt in or out of additional email report features, such as My Analytics and Cortana.

Some faculty and staff have already migrated. If you haven’t migrated yet, you will receive an email seven days and one day before your migration. Print or save these emails in an offline location, in case you have any trouble getting into your email.

Learn how to prepare, what to expect, and how to solve any problems you might encounter ahead of your migration.
