Instructors: lay the foundation for student success with new module series

Build on your skills with “Teaching for Student Success.”

In 2017, President McRobbie called for support of excellence in teaching and learning at IU. In response to that charge, the professional development series Teaching for Student Success: An Evidence-Based Approach was created.

Created expressly for IU faculty, by members of the IU faculty, the module series provides a framework for education grounded in empirical research, combined with opportunities to document evidence-based practices. Topics include:

  • course design
  • assessment
  • science of learning
  • active and interactive learning
  • high-impact practices
  • positive first impressions

Women faculty and researchers: Open Access publishing information session

Find out how to raise the profile of your research and get more citations.

Studies show that open access research articles receive significantly more views and citations than subscription-only articles.

IU hopes to raise the profile of women’s research by encouraging faculty and researchers to publish in the IU Libraries institutional repository, IU ScholarWorks.

The Open Access publishing information session, hosted by the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty & Academic Affairs and the Center for Excellence for Women & Technology, will provide information and encourage use of the Libraries’ CV service, which makes academic work open access through IU Scholarworks.

When: October 24, 3-4:30pm
Where: Herman B Wells Library, IU Bloomington
