UITS Monitor: Don't pay for data, log in to IU Secure--securely

Don't pay for data, log in to IU Secure--securely

IU’s secure Wi-Fi provides a safe, dependable way to stay connected all over campus

Connecting to IU Secure for the first time? Watch this short video to learn how >>

Here are a few things to remember when logging in to IU Secure, IU’s campus-wide secure Wi-Fi network:

  1. Use your correct username and passphrase to log in (this is the #1 reason people have trouble using IU Secure).
  2. Update your device to the latest operating system and drivers for a better wireless experience.
  3. IU Secure is a secure network for all IU faculty, staff, and students. Other, guest-use only networks can be less secure and reliable, so choose your network wisely.
  4. Set up eduroam, a shared higher education international network, to get connected quickly if you’re traveling to participating institutions.
  5. Have a wireless gaming system? Be sure to register your device at devicenet.iu.edu. Visit the KB for more info: kb.iu.edu/d/aloi

Don’t forget: If you’re having trouble connecting to IU Secure, contact the UITS Support Center for help!

August 31: Last day to access Oncourse

Don’t forget to download or migrate content you want to keep.

Oncourse (IU’s previous learning management system) is retired and in read-only mode. After August 31, your Oncourse content and data will no longer be available.

In keeping with IU data retention policies, though, Oncourse gradebook data will be preserved for purposes of grade disputes only through August 2021.

Instructors: The Canvas Migration Tool will continue to be available until August 31.
