IndyStar: Fired IT employee offers to unlock account -- for a price

CACR's Von Welch comments on the pitfalls of business models that depend on the cloud

IndyStar interviewed Von Welch, director of Indiana University's Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR), for a recent article. The short of it: After firing their systems admin, Indianapolis-based American College of Education found itself locked out of the Google account that stored email and course material for 2,000 students. School officials asked Google for help, but the account was only registered to the sole admin.
