UITS employees: Get in the spirit by giving to our annual toy, food drives

Each year, many of you support others and give to our community by joining our UITS Community Outreach events. This year, our department’s initiatives will benefit the Monroe County Head Start Program and the Hoosier Hills Food Bank.

Toy Drive: Monroe County Head Start Program

  1. Grab a tag from the toy drive display in the CIB lobby lounge
  2. Put your name next to the number on the sign-up sheet
  3. Return a new toy (approx. $10), unwrapped and gender/age appropriate, by Friday, December 9

Toys can be returned to the toy drive collection box located near the first-floor main elevators in the CIB.

Alternatively, monetary donations can be made by Wednesday, December 7, to Heather Hubbard (hmcquist@iu.edu) or a member of the UITS HR team (uitshr@iu.edu).

Food Drive: Hoosier Hills Food Bank

This holiday season, UITS is collecting needed food and hygiene products for the Hoosier Hills Food Bank. See their website for a list of much-needed items and donor FAQs.

As in past years, there will be a friendly competition between divisions with bragging rights going to the division with the most food drive contributions by weight! Donations may be collected in your respective office areas but should be weighed in through contacting UITS HR (uitshr@iu.edu). One lead person for each division is requested. All donations are due by Tuesday, December 20.

Your generosity and contributions, year after year, are deeply appreciated by the recipients as well as the sponsor organizations with whom we collaborate. Thank you!
