Google@IU launches today

Google@IU launches today, providing an additional way for faculty, staff, and students to collaborate. The service will include Google Docs, Drive, Sites, Sheets and many of your favorite Google apps. For a full listing of IU Knowledge Base articles related to Google@IU, please see

As part of the release of Google@IU, all users will also be given an additional email account of regardless of campus affiliation. (Check the status on creation of these accounts here: Some users may be unable to log in until all accounts have been added, which is estimated to be completed by 9am on May 11, 2016.

Any messages sent to this address will automatically forward to your current email address (also called your preferred e-mail address), so there's no need to change your email settings.

For example, if you’re at IU Kokomo, messages sent to your new address will automatically forward to if that address ( is your preferred email address. For more information on mail forwarding/setting your preferred e-mail address, please see

Note: if you used an IU email address (regardless of campus affiliation) to previously establish a personal Google apps account, details on how to transition that personal Google apps account to Google@IU are available at Also, to access Google@IU app-specific pages (e.g.,, enter your address, and then log in with your IU username and passphrase.
