Indiana University IT team earns awards from the Society for Technical Communication

Indiana University's IT Communications Office recently received several awards from the Chicago chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). The awards are part of the STC's 2012 Technical Communications Competition.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University's IT Communications Office recently received several awards from the Chicago chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). The awards are part of the STC's 2012 Technical Communications Competition.

"The Society for Technical Communication is a prestigious professional organization that sets high standards of excellence," said Daphne Siefert-Herron, manager, IT Communications. "It's an honor for our staff of talented writers and designers to be included in this elite group of communicators."

The following projects earned awards from STC Chicago:

  • . Award: Excellence. Staff: Vince Cannon, managing designer; Alex Chesterfield, graphics assistant; Janae Cummings, senior communications specialist; Brian Hawkins, manager, IT Communications; Austin Lord, web developer; Alan Milner, project manager; and Daphne Siefert-Herron, manager, IT Communications.

The Society for Technical Communication is a worldwide professional association whose mission is to advance the arts and sciences of technical communication. With members in almost 50 countries, it is the largest association of its kind.
