IEEE Cluster 13 Conference announces full program, deadline extensions

Organizers released the full lineup of workshops and speakers, and extended registration and hotel to August 31.

IEEE Cluster 2013 conference organizers have announced the full program of workshops and speakers for the event, slated to take place September 23-27 at the Hilton Indianapolis. The Indiana University Pervasive Technology Institute (PTI) will host the conference.

In addition, the conference registration deadline and hotel rate have been extended to August 31.

Conference highlights include:

  • Keynote and plenary talks by David E. Keyes, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology; Thomas Sterling, Indiana University Pervasive Technology Institute; Jay Boisseau, Texas Advanced Computing Center; and Jessie J. Walker, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff
  • Seven interactive tutorials on clusters and information strategy, as well as numerous sessions and panels featuring leading names in the field -- such as Marcus Alfred, Tom Bishop, John "Jay" Boisseau, Jim Bottum, Ian Foster, Dennis Gannon, Giridhar Manepalli, Reagan Moore, Thomas Sterling and Scott Tiege
  • "Clouds and Clusters: The Walmart Effect?" panel discussion, featuring Abani Patra, Jay Boisseau, Jim Bottum, Dennis Gannon and Thomas Sterling comparing the benefits and drawbacks of the two computing styles
