IU recently upgraded Kuali Rice, bringing additional features and improvements to a software system that touches vital university functions every day.

Also known within IU as the OneStart Workflow service, Kuali Rice is used by a range of IU offices and applications, including Travel, Timekeeping, the Electronic Procurement and Invoicing Center (EPIC), Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) eDocs, OneStart, IU Mobile and IU Calendar.

"IU is the first institution to deploy KR v2.1.1 to such a diverse and demanding mix of applications and services," said Rob Lowden, IU associate vice president of enterprise software. "This upgrade reinforces the substantial value, savings and functionality that are continually derived from IU's leadership, engagement and participation in community source development."
