IUware: At your service

IUware is the web-based software distribution service for Indiana University students, faculty, and staff. IUware offers a wide variety of software, such as antivirus and office applications. Since the university has already paid for the relevant licenses, you can use the programs available through IUware for free as long as your affiliation with IU continues.

IUware is the web-based software distribution service for Indiana University registered students, faculty, and staff. (As of 2009, IUware is no longer available on CD.) Access IUware by visiting:

Since the university has already paid for the relevant licenses through its many agreements with vendors, you can use the programs available through IUware for free as long as your affiliation with IU continues.

IUware provides a wide variety of software packages at no charge, including site-licensed products from Adobe, Microsoft, Symantec, ISI ResearchSoft, and others. In addition, the IUware server is regularly updated, so patches and upgrades for IU-supported software are consistently available.

IUware allows you to download, install, or in some cases execute software. If you connect to IUware when you are using a modem connection, you are restricted in the software that you can download due to the lower bandwidth available over modem lines.

To download programs from IUware, you must have a valid Network ID and a compatible web browser.
